PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: August 13, 2026
thefixers.cc is operated by Nico Baran ("we"). We collect as little as possible to sell and support audio plugins. Here is exactly what happens with your data.
1. WHAT WE COLLECT
- Purchases: your name, email address, billing address (collected by our payment processor at checkout), the products bought, and the amount paid. We use this to deliver license keys, generate invoices, and provide support.
- Payments: processed entirely by Stripe or PayPal. We never see or store your card number or bank details. Their privacy policies apply to the payment itself.
- License activation: when a plugin is activated, it sends us your license key and an anonymous machine fingerprint (a hash derived from your computer name and OS — not your files, not your projects) to enforce the 3-machine limit.
- Email: license and receipt emails are delivered via Resend. We do not run marketing lists; you only get transactional email tied to your purchase.
- Analytics: we use Plausible, a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics tool. No advertising trackers, no cross-site tracking, no cookies for analytics.
2. WHAT WE DON'T DO
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing.
- We do not profile you or make automated decisions about you.
- We do not collect audio, project files, or anything from inside your DAW.
3. LEGAL BASIS & RETENTION
We process purchase data to perform our contract with you (delivering the software) and to meet accounting obligations. Order and license records are kept for as long as your lifetime license is active — that is what lets us re-send lost keys and honor activations years later. Accounting records are kept as long as tax law requires.
4. WHERE DATA LIVES
Our license server and database are hosted on Railway; the website is hosted on Vercel. Payment data lives with Stripe/PayPal. These providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere under their own safeguards.
5. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Email us and we will handle it — note that deleting your purchase record also removes our ability to verify your license.
